Deer
Hunts
Rifle
deer hunts are available in three wildlife management units,
White River, West Biggs, and Maupin. The white river unit
consists of timbered canyons of oak, pine and fir as well
as wheat fields and rangeland. Hunting the West Biggs unit
will put you in rolling hills, rim rocks and sagebrush draws
on the breaks of the Deschutes River. The Maupin unit is
primarily irrigated alfalfa and wheat fields along the white
river and rim rocks and sagebrush draws on the breaks of
the Deschutes and lower white rivers. Landowner preference
tags are available.
Archery
deer hunts are not limited to the same wildlife management
units as rifle deer hunts. Whether you are a seasoned archer
or a beginner, White River Outfitters can offer you a quality
hunt and an opportunity to harvest a deer.
Elk
Hunting
White
River Outfitters offer archery and rifle hunts for elk.
Archery hunts are for one elk and we allow two hunters per
season. Rifle elk hunts are primarily for cows and we have
several seasons to choose from with some as long as three
months.
Antelope

the ever-alert pronghorn is exciting as well as rewarding.
Choose your weapon, whether rifle or archery, White River
Outfitters has the hunt for you. Buck (440a1) and doe (440a2)
hunts are available and take place on private land in the
West Biggs/Maupin units.
